Could you be a Trustee?

Updated: Mar 3, 2023

We’re looking for trustees to help take Elliot’s Footprint forward as we kick off a new strategy to raise awareness of sudden child bereavement and work to provide services and support to families in West Yorkshire.

Who we are

We're a charity that helps families through child bereavement. We offer help and guidance whilst campaigning and fundraising for improved bereavement services. We are working hard to take the loneliness and frustration out of the systems and processes that families face in the aftermath of losing a child.

This year we are launching a new and ambitious strategy, building on our work so far in delivering great services for families while also educating and creating awareness of sudden child bereavement. We are looking for new trustees to help guide the charity as we go forward.

Who we need

If you are interested in what Elliot’s Footprint does, then you are who we need. You don’t need any trustee experience, or any previous experience in child bereavement - we just want people who have a passion to help our charity move forward.

We are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, but we don’t need you to be local to us as we meet remotely and can pay any reasonable expenses if we do ask you to join us in person.

A big part of our future strategy is building funds to develop great service provision, and so we are particularly interested in anyone with experience of fundraising (both community fundraising and grant fundraising). We also welcome anyone with experience in marketing and engagement.

How to apply

If you are interested in joining us at Elliot’s Footprint then please get in touch by emailing us on elliotsfootprintboard@gmail.com. We would love to hear why you are interested, what skills and experience you have to bring, and what you want out of the role. We will also invite you to an informal conversation with our chair and another trustee, which we can hold in person or online.
