Monster Half Marathon Effort

Updated: Mar 3, 2023

On the 10th of May two amazing Elliot's Footprint supporters ran the Leeds Half Marathon to raise money for our work.

Victor and Glyn did an amazing job of raising well over £600 for our work.

We spoke to Glyn to ask him how his run went.

'The run was enjoyable, I'd trained for it and was hoping to beat last years time which I did. The weather was great and the support along the route is fantastic which makes it all the more enjoyable. '

Why did you run for us?

Glyn (far left) Post Race

'I chose Elliot's Footprint as I used to work with John Kerslake so was aware of the charity he'd set up and the reason why. I saw there was an opportunity to run for Elliot's Footprint and felt it would be good to run and raise money for a smaller, local charity.'

Any advice for others wanting to do something similar?

'Advice for other fundraisers would be set up a fundraising page and make use of social media to promote the page. Log training runs using one of the available apps and share that to social media with a link to your fundraising page as a way of promoting the event, the charity your running for. its the main way I've raised money'

Congratulations to the pair of them for their incredible effort.

If you have been inspired to fundraise for Elliot's Footprint why not drop us a message and let us know. We would love to help and support you.
