Gayle Routledge, the Founder and Chief Executive A Child Of Mine is working with Dr Joanna Garstang and researchers from University of Birmingham in a project ‘Involving Parents and Staff in Learning from Child Deaths’. The aim of the project is to improve how parents are involved in the Child Death Review process, so that we can improve learning from deaths. We are looking to interview bereaved parents whose children died from 2021 onwards following an inpatient hospital stay, or in a hospice or at home with palliative care, as long as the death is no less than 6 months ago they are eligible.
The project is funded by the National Institute for Health Research and has full Health Research Authority ethical approval, and the link above gives much more information on the study.
Please share if you know anyone else who may be interested in helping the project.
