Last weekend Mahbub 'Bob' Uddin took his next step and completed the Manchester Marathon in a

blistering 4 hours and 8 minutes whilst raising over £1000 for Elliot's Footprint.

Speaking to Mahbub after the race he said:

'Today’s marathon was my 3rd one. I decided not to chase a time like I have previously done and to enjoy it and the crowds around me.

I ended up with a new PB of 4hr 8mins making up 17 mins from last year.

I actually felt good on today’s run as ran with no stress or pressure (from myself!)

I would have got my dream time of under 4 hours I just really struggled in the last 3 miles. But I’m still happy with it!'

When asked why he ran for us he said:

'I decided to run for (Elliot's Footprint) as the job you do is amazing, I have experienced first hand how families struggle from a loss of a child and without having support it’s so much more difficult. You guys do such amazing work.'

We are so proud of Mahbub and his efforts.
