Elliot’s Footprint supporter Symone Holmes took part in the Manchester Marathon to raise awareness and funds about our work raising over £600. After months of training she completed the run in a blistering (literally) time of 3 hours and 29 minutes. A time that she is hoping will allow her to compete in the London Marathon.

Speaking after the event Symone said, ‘(It was) emotional really, the last 5 miles were hell. I have toenails hanging off and infection as a result! It was perversely enjoyable to prove that I could run that distance and for a great cause. I also achieved a good for age time that will hopefully get me a place in the London Marathon 2019!’

Symone will also be taking part in the Leeds Half Marathon in May. We still have two free spaces available to if Symone has inspired you to get you trainers on contact us on efmembership@gmail.com
